오너 C. 애플턴 (Honor C. Appleton)
Honor Charlotte Appleton (1879~1951)은 The Children's Alice를 포함한 영국 아동 도서 삽화가.
그녀는 케이트 그리너웨이(Kate Greenaway, 1846 ? 1901년, 영국 빅토리아 시대의 예술가이자 작가로, 동화 삽화로 잘 알려져 있다. Queen Anne 스타일의 가상의 18세기 의상을 입은 아이들의 묘사는 영국과 국제적으로 매우 인기가 있었고 Kate Greenaway 스타일을 촉발했다. 영국, 독일, 미국에서 모방하였다)등의 영향을 받은 섬세한 수채화 스타일을 가지고 있었다.

'오너 C. 애플턴 (Honor C. Appleton)' 《The Dumpy Books for Children》영어원서를 기반으로 편역하였습니다.
첫째,
이 책의 영어원서를 한글 번역하면서 한국정서에 맞는 이야기 구조로 재구성, 즉 각색하여 한글 번역하였습니다.
